It's no secret that every year at his "home" GP, Valentino unveils a special helmet. For more details on the Italian GP at Mugello click here.
Valentino on his Mugello helmet... "My new helmet was designed by a famous Italian artist, Milo Manara. He has drawn some kind of a mythical history of my life, in cartoons, with some of my heroes such as Steve McQueen, Enzo Ferrari, Jim Morrison, and other characters such as my dog Guido, the chicken Osvaldo (one of his sponsors in 1998, ndr), and a lot of beautiful women! I really like Milo...he's a person that I have admired for a long time."
The helmet also pays tribute to Daijiro Kato (his #74 is located at the back of the helmet). "Quarantasei" is also Italian for 46.
