Valentino Rossi and Romano Fenati in Moto GP and Moto 3 respectively had the AGV Italian flag flying once more in Spain!
In the Jerez MotoGP race, Valentino came home second on one of his favourite tracks to confirm his current form. In the parc fermé, Valentino said: "I am delighted to have beaten Pedrosa. I've been racing against Dani for years and know I'm as fast as he is but last year he was always in front of me. Obviously, I'm very proud of having beaten Lorenzo. He's one of the best riders in the world and as we both ride the same bike, he's my main point of reference. We have to keep on working like this. We need to stay focused and do our absolute best but we also need Yamaha to give us a hand because at the minute Honda are stronger. We know what needs to be done but it'll take a little time".
Romano Fenati had an incredible win in Moto3 and rode with great determination to replicate his performance in Argentina by crossing the line first. This has given him an excellent start to the season with the Sky Racing Team VR46. After the race he spoke about his satisfaction and about the great atmosphere in the team: “This winter I felt relaxed with no great pressure or worries. I was able to train really well at home and this helped me prepare better. Last year I was under a lot of pressure both from the press and from within the team. The experience however has served me well. The atmosphere in the team now is fantastic and even when we run into a problem, this motivates us and we just get on with sorting it out”.
